In order to realize our offroad buggy tour in the Dominican Republic, we took the decision to establish a small-scale tourism company Rancho Ruta del KKO. We started looking for a suitable location, to build our Rancho. One day the time came, a 4.5 ha cacao plantation was offered for sale. The plantation had a very varied and beautiful plantation. Our first impression was, much too big, but after a few times looking at all the possibilities of this piece of paradise, we decided to buy. The reason was, that the 15-year-old plantation had been planted by the previous owner in the old, say traditional way.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The diversity of plantings on the plantation is incredible. There are almost 100 different fruit trees growing, such as mangoes, avocados and all citrus varieties as well as tamarind, star fruit and cashew nuts. Furthermore, you can find all kinds of bananas and even the largest in the world of about 80 cm long. But there is also the typical tropical vegetables and coffee planted. It is all too much to mention you should really see it all for yourself during a walk through the plantation. The ecological value of our plantation is incredible and everything is grown organically. Throughout the season visitors can taste the available fruits and we also, as much as possible, incorporate our own products in the lunch offered.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Rancho was built with the least possible impact on the plantation. The Rancho consists of the reception area for visitors and buggy tour participants. There is also the shed for the storage of the Kawasaki buggies, the kitchen and the toilet and shower rooms. The first activity offered by our Rancho is an exclusive off-road buggy tour with Kawasaki monster buggies. For those participating in the buggy tour, there is the opportunity to take a walk through the plantation. In addition to the spectucally beautiful plantings, various species of poultry roam freely here, including chickens, ducks, turkeys, fowl and peacocks.
