Buggy tour

Buggy tour in the Dominican Republic

Do you love adventure? Then our off-road buggy tour with a Kawasaki KRX 1000 monster buggy, through the beautiful nature in the interior around Yerba Buena, is for you! Our buggy and exclusive tour is unlike buggy tours offered at the hotel and with other tour operators. Much of the 42 km route is off-road on bad dirt roads. We also cross streams, but the buggies with a 120 hp engine know how to handle these obstacles.

Arriving at the Rancho, there will be an opportunity to have breakfast. During breakfast we will give the safety instructions and to the drivers the explanation, how to operate and safely drive the buggies.

Pena Alta

After leaving the Rancho, the baby carriage tour heads toward Pena Alta, which is a mountain 408 meters high and also the highest point in the area. The 5 km climb to the top is off road via a bad dirt road. At the top of Pena Alta, you have magnificent views of the surrounding area. You can see the beautiful nature, but also the towns and villages, such as Yerba Buena, Hato Mayor and San Pedro de Macoris. Those who dare can take a seat on the spectucal 6-meter-high swing. The hovering moments above the precipice produce beautiful photos. For enthusiasts, there is a cup of authentic coffee made from freshly roasted and ground coffee beans. Our adventure now continues.

Cueva Fun Fun Fun

The baby carriage tour continues off-road through the mountainous area past plantations of cocoa, coffee and citrus fruits. It is full enjoyment of unspoiled nature while crossing streams and rivers. We now make our way to the entrance of Cueva Fun Fun, which is hidden in tropical rainforest. The cave was inhabited centuries ago by the Taino Indians who left their sculptures here. Cueva Fun Fun has an 18 km corridor system, through which flows an underground river with numerous lagoons. It is the largest cave in the Caribbean. Upon entering the cave, you enter the magical world of giant stalactite formations of all shapes and colors. Inside the cave you fall from one amazement to another, that's how beautiful it is. At the exit of the cave there is a natural pool carved into the rocks with a small waterfall. It is wonderful, to refresh yourself here in the clear water, before we start the drive back.

Rancho Ruta del KKO.
The road back to the Rancho is also partially off-road. We pass through several small villages and we enjoy the amazing Kawasaki monster baby carriages for a while longer.
Arriving at the Rancho, the BBQ is already ready and we can enjoy a delicious lunch. Those who are interested can stroll through the plantation and get explanations about the different trees and plants.
For baby carriage drivers, there is a minimum age of18 years and they must be able to show a copy or photo of their driver's license.
